Interested in Volunteering?

New Life Community Care, a D.G.R. Charity registered workplace, relies on the goodness of individuals who volunteer to help others and give back. It is people like you who help to serve the Gold Coast and those who are struggling at the moment. We provide about 6,000 to 8,000 meals a week in bulk food parcels at the Foodbarn to 26 Gold Coast organisations, and supply emergency accommodation, and support programs, on our 3 acre complex near Harbour Town shopping complex.

Please note that volunteering will in most cases require some level of physical work, including packing and moving orders, cleaning up afterwards, etc. We have positions that require truck and van drivers, store persons, ground and gardening persons, trades, public relations, accounting, legal, admin, and general volunteer positions for all ages, even retirees.

Volunteering with New Life Community Care can count towards any hours you have to make up for Centrelink, and we are also a registered SPER workplace. We provide work experience when re-entering the workforce with a certificate of reference for other employment. No age barrier, all are welcome.

Do you have a SPER (State Penalty Enforcement Register) debt to pay of? Now you can simply by volunteering with us.

Our main days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7am to approximately 2:30pm, or adjust hours to suit your requirements.

If you are interested, or want to know more, please fill in the form below and we will get back to you as soon as possible, or call volunteering on 0410 565 781. Please leave a message if we cannot immediately take your call.

We, and the community we serve, thank you in advance!

The main times when we need volunteers are on Wednesdays & Thursdays from early morning to about 2pm.
Volunteers also assist with general setting up, packing up, and cleaning. Sorting fruit & veggies may require lifting and moving crates of produce (10kg or more)
