REFUNDS

  • Orders paid for in advance can be cancelled prior to the day of pickup or delivery for a full refund.
  • Refunds will be processed with 3 business days.  We cannot guarantee the time the financial institutions will take to make the funds available to you.
  • Orders paid for with vouchers cannot be refunded with cash.  Orders cancelled the day before pickup or delivery will be able to reuse the voucher for a future order.
  • Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Orders cancelled, or not picked up on the day for which it was ordered, will be charged a $20 handling repacking fee.
  • Orders cancelled on the day of delivery will be charged a $20 handling repacking fee, plus any delivery charges if the order was cancelled after delivery was attempted & client rang for delivery time and availability.

DISPATCH

ORDERS FOR DELIVERY

  • Orders placed on Monday and Tuesday will be delivered on Wednesday between 8am and 2:30pm, in normal traffic conditions.
  • Orders placed on Wednesday will be delivered on Thursday between 8:00am and 2:30pm, in normal traffic conditions.
  • Delivery Fees are charged on the delivery location, which can be viewed here. Delivery is limited to the areas indicated on the delivery fee page.

ORDERS FOR PICKUP

  • The PICKUP LOCATION IS AT 16 Dunkirk Closes, Arundel, QLD 4214, Australia.
  • Orders placed on Monday and Tuesday will be available for pickup on Wednesday during the time slot chosen when placing the order and/or pending time restraints of previous client’s bookings and line up.
  • Orders placed on Wednesday will be picked up on Thursday during the 9.30am till 12.30pm time slots.
  • No Fees are charged for local pickups except for any additional add-on purchased on arrival or request.

PRIVACY POLICY

SUMMARY OF PRIVACY POLICY

We respect everybody’s privacy and adhere to good information governance.  We do not use any data provided for any other purpose than to operate the New Life Community Care – Foodbarn, e.g. to process orders and manage stock and previous requests recorded.

The type of information we use is limited to the information supplied when placing orders.  In addition, we validate that the order is placed from within Australia by verifying the IP address.

We never share data with any other organization unless the client is redeeming a voucher of another organisation and do not intend to do so in the future.

The New Life Community Care – Foodbarn website is secured, and all information is encrypted when entered on the website.

We may use the information you provide to inform you of changes that may affect you, or to notify you of new services or products that may benefit you or if you purchase with a voucher of another organisation.

All online payment processing is done securely by the financial institutions.  We do not process or store any payment details, e.g. credit or debit card numbers.

You have the right to request that any personal data removed from our systems and you can write to webadmin@newlifefoodbarn.org

DISCLAIMER

  1. New life Foodbarn is for supporting people going through hardship and food is strictly for personal use only.
  2. Membership is NOT required for parcel orders, however anyone wanting to enter the Foodbarn Shop on Thursdays has to sign up and become a member. Membership is free and you can either fill out the form on arrival or print off a copy, fill it out and bring it in. Click here for our Registration Form
  3. A lot of our products are “seconds” and because of this some items may be close to or past their “best before” date and could start to change taste or colour but are generally ok for some time.
  4. Products marked beyond their “use by” date have been frozen beforehand.
  5. Some packaging could have changed or been damaged but the goods within the package are still good.
  6. Some of our meat products have been pre-cooked and frozen or are prepared frozen meals, which will only require reheating. These foods should be cooked to a temperature of at least 75°C or higher to ensure harmful bacteria are killed.
  7. Fruit and Vegetables may be seconds and ripe and in some cases require attention.
